Minister supports 'skill recycling'

West Berkshire MP - Richard Benyon Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Natural Environment and Fisheries), Environment, Food and Rural Affairs linked the concept of 'skill exchange' to his strong support of green growth and environmental recycling by stating:

"StaffShare is absolutely the right idea for a new and more flexible workplace - a simple, low cost way to 'recycle' under used talent and skill to organisations and 3rd sector groups that could really use such skills. This sort of big society thinking will be familiar to many active supporters of environmental or green recycling. 'Recycle rather than waste' - It's about changing people's thinking, raising awareness and making people understand the common sense in reusing valuable resources rather than wasting them! Every lost job damages a family and hurts a community - so any process that aims to avoid wastage like that is well worth a second look. Clearly on a local basis StaffShare will help connect local employers to protect communities and businesses and help shape their local economies".
