"StaffShare is absolutely the right idea for a new and more flexible workplace - a simple, low cost way to 'recycle' under used talent and skill to organisations and 3rd sector groups that could really use such skills."
Richard Benyon MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State

"The more organisations joining the scheme, the wider the pool of opportunity will be for successful secondments. So, we would certainly encourage others to sign up."
Kieran Stigant, Chief Executive of West Sussex County Council

"We are bringing StaffShare to the attention of the small charities and social enterprises we work with. It is an inventive way forward, enabling the sharing of skilled people where a full time hire may not be possible at this time".
Fiona Halton, Chief Executive of PilotLight

“The workforce of the future will be different and look for new things from employers. The psychological contract needs to be re-established and re-negotiated. The Skill Exchange Partnership can help explore how councils and other local employers can work together for the benefit of all, to address the workforce issues of the future.
We need to move away from silos and increase connectivity between employers. This will advance how we provide efficient and effective services to our citizens, whilst cutting costs and adding skills through the sharing of employees locally.”

Sir Steve Bullock, Chair of LG Group Workforce Programme Board

Stephen Moir, former PPMA president and human resources director at Cambridgeshire County Council said: "This is the right creative approach we need to be looking at to manage talent across the public sector. Cambridgeshire is keen to join the scheme, which could save hundreds of jobs across local government".
Mr.Moir added,
"When you consider the cost of redundancy, potential pension payments and outplacement services, this scheme can offset some of those costs and mitigate those redundancies".
Stephen Moir, Cambridgeshire County Council, January 2011

"Local councils are under extraordinary pressure to cut their cost of operation, and looking for ways to help valued employees to move into new roles within the private sector is part of that strategy. Through its on-line skill exchange StaffShare provides an innovative and practical way to save skills and develop employee careers through secondment to any number of new employers, while significantly cutting costs".
Jan Parkinson, Managing Director, Local Government Employers, part of Local Government Group, December 2010

"Unemployment in any form is damaging and wasteful. The impact on employeesand the economy has long term implications and the cycle of recruitment andredundancy is a practice that we should be trying to change. StaffShare is anew and different Social Enterprise and provides a serious and interestingalternative to workplace management. We are totally supportive of this newventure."
John Taylor, Chief Executive ACAS(Arbitration & Conciliation Service),June 2010
